1. Brown ground beef, onion, and green pepper until meat is no longer pink.
2. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, ripe olives, Italian-style spaghetti sauce mix with mushrooms, water, sugar, oregano, garlic, and bay leaves.
3. Cover and simmer 90 minutes. Stir occasionally.
4. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain.
5. Serve meat sauce over hot spaghetti.
